Mount Alexander Mail 15 March 1915
CAMPBELLS CREEK.
The news of the unexpected death
of Mr Emil Jorgensen, of Castlemaine.
was received here with unfeigned re
gret as that gentleman was so widely
known and respected everywhere. The
deceased, who spent his boyhood days
on Campbell's Creek, and went to the
local State School was looked upon as
a Creek boy. Immediately he started
business in Castlemaine he soon had a
good round locally, and by his genial
manner and kindly ways soon endear
ed himself to all. Any movement loc
ally always had his support, and as an
ardent musician he personally assisted
at several functions, being always
only too willing and eager to come to
the old place and assist, and his un
timely demise at such a comparatively
young age is really regretted on all
sides.
