PROBATE GRANTED
At the Supreme Court on Saturday the
Registrar of the Supreme court (Mr. T.
G. Fraser) granted probate of the will of
George Pearson Allen, late of Rockhamp
ton, commission agent, deceased, to Jessie
Marie Martha Allen, Rockhampton, widow
of the deceased, and Robert Stabbs
Archer, Gracemere, near Rockhampton,
grazier, the executors named in the will.
The real estate was sworn at under 340 pound
and the personal at under 810 pound. Mr. T.
Barrymore, from the office of Messers.
Rees R. and Sydney Jones, appeared in
support of the application.

WENT TO SEA AT 80
SYDNEY, Wednesday: On June 11,
Henry Mawer Allen, 80, master mar-
iner, who left home to take a ship
to sea failed to arrive on board. He
was later found drowned in the har-
bour.
At the inquest to-day the finding
was one of accidental drowning and
evidence was given to show that de-
ceased was short-sighted and the
night was dark.
