FROM MICRO FISCHE RESEARCH John was born on 12th Dec 1847 & his mother was Elizabeth Hancock the first wife of George Parker [George was from Wrington...google the village & read more] John was baptised 16th Jan 1848, & died 21st April 1886. The father, George Parker, died 10th Feb 1862, buried 17th Feb 1862, so I presume John emigrated after this. John married at Bowen Nth Qld 11th Dec 1877. His marriage cert says born at Mills, but actually he was born at Mells. It says his mother was Sarah Browne but this is incorrect,Elizabeth his mother died either 25th or 26th may 1849 after giving birth to Frederick on 25th May. Frederick has two baptisms....a private one on 26th May which states "Mother deceased"....and again...a church one... on 10th June 1849. Elizabeth was buried at Mells, Somerset, 1849, age 38. Hope this is of some use, Elizabeth's gr gr grandaughter, Denise.
