SNEDDON The death occurred last week of Mrs. Catherine Sneddon at the residence of her son Walter, of Cessnock. The deceased lady was 89 years old, and was born at Lake Road, Newcastle and has resided in the Newcastle ,and Lower Hunter area all her life. She was esteemed for her kindly neighbourly disposition,by all who knew her, and joined readily in the districts she resided, in helping to promote their social and patriotic advancement. After her marriage she went to live at Broad meadow and then later to Cessnock. From there the family went to Belmont and Medowie and remained at the latter place till shortly after the death of her husband who predeceased her about 8 years ago. She is survived by five sons — Messrs, Joseph (Adamtown), Edward, (Belmont),. William (Raymond Terrace); Harold and Walter (Cessnock) and one daughter Cassle, Cessnock. (Also surviving her are 24 grand children and 34 great grand children. The funeral was held at Beresfield crematorium where the Rev. D. W. Hall conducted the services
