CW Margaret Clarke - nurse - served in WW1 Laura page Cairns Post 4 Aug 1949 MAREEBA PERSONAL. MAREEBA, July 28 -A recent visitor to Mareeba was Miss Clarke, who arrived from England a few months ago on a visit to her sister, Mrs. J. Mccutcheon, of Innisfail. Miss Clarke, who was a nurse in World War 1 and 2, has now retired, and intends staying in Australia until the early part of next year, but says she has taken so much to Australia and its hospitable people that it will be with great regret, when the time comes to leave.
