ENGAGEMENTS
The engagement is announced of Lisle Edna, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Decent, of Montrose, Singleton, to Hugh Kenneth Lewis-Hughes, of Greenacres, Grenfell, elder son of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis-Hughes, of Sydney, late of South Wales.

WEDDINGS.
LEWIS-HUGHES-DECENT.
The marriage of Lisle, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Decent, of Singleton, to Kenneth, son of Dr. and Mrs. Lewis-Hughes, Sydney, was celebrated by Canon H. Portus at St. James' Church, King-street, Sydney, on Tuesday evening, July 24. The bride wore a gown of white satin, made in a classic style, and devoid of trimming. The long train, draped from the shoulders, was lined with pink georgette, and a flowing veil of tulle was arranged over a band of pink leaves and orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of pink carnations, and wore a wristlet watch, gift of the bridegroom. There were three brides- maids-Misses Kathleen Decent, Muriel Lloyd Jones, and Jeanie Vickery who were charmingly dressed in beaded frocks of autumn tinted georgette, and wore wreaths of autumn leaves around their head. They carried bouquets of Iceland poppies, gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. V. Lewis-Hughes was best man, and Mr. T. Decent and K. Humphries groomsmen. Mr. and Mrs. Decent entertained the guests at a wedding dinner at the Wara- tah, after which Mr. and Mrs, Lewis-Hughes left for Leura, the bride travelling in a tailored suit of navy blue and a scarlet hat with fur.
