HOWELL, August 11, 1902, at his late residence, Erwin Cottage, 15 Theodore-street, Balmain, James Howell, aged 69 years For 25 years with the Union Steam Navigation Company, Limited. No Flowers.

DEATH OF MR. JAMES HOWELL.
Mr. James Howell, a very old resident of Balmain,
who for 25 years past had been in the employ of the
Union Steam Navigation Company, Limited, died
suddenly at his residence, Erwin Cottage, Theodore
street, Balmain, on Monday morning, from pleurisy
The deceased was 69 years of age, and leaves a family
of three sons and one daughter .He was engaged
at his work on Saturday until midday, and had not
then complained of feeling unwell. The funeral took
place yesterday afternoon to the Wesleyan portion of
the Field of Mars cemetery, and was largely
attended. Captain Comity represented the company
at the funeral, the arrangements for which were
carried out by Messrs Wood and Co.
