'We think the- latter is pretty well assured. The happy couple left here by coach on the 16th to spend their honeymoon. We hear Mr Comben has beon transferred to Monindio and Constable Smith will succeed him. We have been fo tunate in having two manly gentle manly officers attached to us for the past two years, and we hope this happy condition will continue.

FAHEY Mr. Max Foulds, of the Southern Cross Hotel, has been advised of the death in Sydney on Sunday night of Mrs. Fahey, who was a well-known woman of the outback country. She at one time kept the Packsaddle hotel, now delicensed. and then went to Tibooburra to take over the hotel from her mother. She remained there for many years, and left six or seven years ago to reside in Bondi, the hotel being left in the care of her daughter, who is still there.
