Note 2: OGILVIE ARCHIBALD MACFARLANE 108/1940 JOHN SYDNEY Sydney Morning Herald 26 Jan 1940 OBITUARY. REV. A. M. OGILVIE. The Rev. Archibald Macfarlane Ogilvie, who died at a private hospital on Wednesday, aged 65 years, had been minister since 1908 of the Beecroft Presbyterian Church. He came from Scotland about 40 years ago, and was first engaged in Home Mission work. He was assis- tant to the late Rev. James Kinghorn at Bathurst. In November, 1905, he was or dained and inducted to the charge of Manilla. He went to Beecroft-Thornlelgh three years later. Mrs. Ogilvie and four sons survive. The funeral took place at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium after a service at the Beecroft Church, conducted by the Moderator, the Rev. A. D. Marchant.
