Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners Advocate 9Aug 1930 LATE MR. W. SNEDDON. The funeral of Mr. W. Sneddon left his late residence, 69 Chinchen-street, Islington, on July 26, for the Church of England Cemetery, Sandgate. The late Mr. Sneddon was in his 78th year, and had been in failing health for 12 months. His wife predeceased him nearly 10 years ago. He is survived by five daughters and three sons. He had resided in Newcastle district 74 years, 52 of which were spent at Islington. The chief mourners were James, Stan, Walter (sons), A. Evans, H. M. Shedden (sons-in-law), J. Sneddon (brother), W. S. Sneddon (grandson). The funeral was largely attended. Rev. C. E. Thomas conducted service at the home and graveside.
