Note 1: Burial record Bowen Independent 19 Jan 1945 OBITUARY The death occurred in Townsville early this week of Annie Elizabeth Barton, wife of Mr. T. H. Barton, of No. 10 Railway Avenue. Railway Estate. The deceased was a Bowen native, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Darwen, and married another Bowenite, in Mr. T. H. Barton. The latter was employed in the railway and eventually went, to reside in Townsville. She leaves four brothers, Messrs. Arthur, Albert (“Sonny"). John of Bowen, and William (“Waffle”) - of Sydney, and one sister, Mrs. Mein (Sydney), two sons Eric and Les, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. T. J. Hughes, to mourn their loss, and to whom sympathy is extended.
