of Helene, St. Kilda.

Caulfield, the dearly beloved husband of Violet
.Josephine, and loving father of. Margaret, Shiela,
Maureen, Joan, Patricia, Marie and John.

MR. JOHN JOSEPH HEDIGAN
The death occurred, suddenly, at a
private hospital in East Melbourne, on
March 2, of John Joseph Hedigan, of
Narong-road, Caulfield. He was the
only son of the late Patrick
Hedigan and the late Margaret
Hedigan. of Preston. He was
educated at the Christian Brothers' College,
East Melbourne, and was a member
of the Old Paradians' Association.
Many of his earlier years were spent
at Preston, where he was associated
with St. Vincent de Paul and other
societies at the Sacred Heart Church,
and of late years he was a member
of the Holy Name Society of Caulfield.
The late Mr. Hedigan was well known
and highly respected in city business
circles. He will be sadly missed by
his widow, six daughters and one son,
and his only sister. Requiem Mass
for the repose of his 'soul was celebrated
at St. Aloysius' Church, Caulfield,
by the Rev. J. O'Brien, and after
prayers the funeral left for the New
Cheltenham Cemetery. Pall-bearers
were Messrs. Cyril Hoy, Esmond
Downey, Bernard Nolan, M. Chamberlin,
Tom McCarthy, W. Sullivan, J.
O'Keefe and E. J. Lewis. Present at
the graveside was Very Rev. Dr.
Lyons, Vicar-General, who responded
to the prayers recited by the chaplain.
The funeral arrangements were in the
hands of Alfred Allison.
