OBITUARY ----------o---------- SAMUEL CADMAN JONES There passed away yesterday at his residence, 22 Albert street. Maryborough, Mr. Samuel Cadman Jones. Deceased was born at Pensent, Staffordshire, England, and came out to Australia when be was five years old, landing in Sydney. At the age of eight he arrived at Howard, and remained in that centre for fourteen years, after which he was employed at Mt. Morgan mines as gold mining contractor for a period of 17 years. He then left Mt. Morgan for Maryborough, where he has resided for the last five years. He leaves a sorrowing wife and four sons, Clifford Cadman (Targinnie), Samuel Corrington (Proserpine), Rex Stanley (Marian) and Roy Perrier Jones (Marian), and three daughters. Mesdames A. E. Fyles (Calliope), M. Armour (Calliope) and ( G. Philips (Rockhampton). There are nine grandchildren. He was the son of the late Elijah Jones and grandson of Samuel Cadman Jones who at one time was a very active worker for the Methodist Church at Howard. The funeral will take place this Friday afternoon, at 4.15 o'clock from the Howard Methodist Church for the Howard Cemetery. |
