Personal Notes:
On Sunday it was reported to the coroner, Mr. C. W. Weeks, that Mr. Andrew Beveridge, senior, father of Mr. James Beverage, of Tenandra Park, and Mr. A. J. A. Beveridge, of Dolla Vale, had been found drowned in a water-hole at the residence of the latter. Accordingly, the corroner, accompanied by Dr. M'Killop, journeyed out to Clarendon yesterday morning, and held an inquest on the remains. It appeared that deceased was last seen alive by a servant at daylight on Sunday morning. Being missed some time after search was made for him when he was found dead in a water-hole in which there was about five feet of water.

There was nothing to show how deceased got into the water, but it is surmised that he slipped in probably when endeavouring to get a drink. Dr.McKillop deposed that the cause of death was drowning, and the jury returned a verdict to that effect. Deceased was 84 years of age, and very feeble.
