Urbanus emigrated to the colony with his father and siblings as assisted immigrants. They arrived in Two Fold Bay on 27 Mar 1855 on the ship "Caesar". He married Elizabeth nee Beileiter in 1871 in Eden, NSW. They had 7 (seven), children, Johanna, George Henry, Leonard, Urban Frederick, Francis Abraham, Elizabeth, and, Eleanor "Mary" Burial 17 Apr 1884
