MR. W. M. BROOKS.
The late Mr Walter Marwood Brooks died at the Wagga District Hospital last night at the age of 51 years after a week's illness. He was a single man, and was a son of the late Mr. Henry Brooks, of Monaro, N.S.W., and Mrs. A. M. Brooks, of 'Hill view,' Umbango. He spent his life at Monaro, Oberne, and later at Umbango. In addition to his mother, he leaves three brothers and four sisters.

He followed farming and grazing pursuits and was highly respected by a Iarge number of friends. The funeral will leave the Wagga District Hospital 'at 8.15 a.m. tomorrow by motor hearst for internment in the Church of England cemetery, Humula, at 11 a.m. All friends are asked to attend

The funeral of the late Mr. Walter Marwood Brooks, of 'Hillview,' Umbango, who died in the Wagga District Hospital on Wednesday, took place on Friday, leaving the District Hospital by motor hearse for Humula at 8-00a.m. On passing the Umbargo public school the Union Jack was flying half mast as a mark of respect for the deceased, who was very highly esteemed by the scholars and teacher for his many kindnesses to them.

On reaching 'Hill View,' a large number of relatives and friends from Sydney, Umbango, Humula, Oberne, Tarcutta and Wagga followed in cars to the Church
of England cemetery, Humula. The carriers where Messrs. Thomas Bardwell, Charles Stockwell, Thomas Cox, Dudley Baldwell, Horace Peo John and Arthur Harvey and Michael Reeckman. The pall bearers were Messrs. Norman Willis, Robert M'Cracken, Robert Tresilian, Albert Stevens, Adolphus Reeckman, David Stockwell, James Cox and John Bellman.

The Rev. W. Blackwell, rector of Tarcutta, officiated at the graveside, anj the chief mourners present were Messrs. Richard, Frederick and James Brooks (brothers), Mrs. G. Wilkinson (sister), Mrs. F. Brooks (sister-in-law), and Mr. John Brooks (cousin). There were many wreaths. The funeral arrangements
were entrusted to Messrs. M'Intosh Bros., Wagga
