William senior was a prison warden from the 1st oct 1906 till 31st march 1911 at Newcastle prison UK.
From his grand daughter Paulette: "Sheppey Cemetery, which it appears is a Military Cemetery and I found this picture of the grave of William Amos R/38343 (which I assume is his Airforce number) Kings Rifle Corps dod 5th June 1917 Age 35 Also found the following on this site - On 5th June in daylight, 22 Gathas (German planes) attacked Shoeburyness and Sheerness (where William was killed) - 13 killed, including 2 from Shueburyness."
