5th March 1938

The death occurred at his home at Uranquinty yesterday afternoon, after a long illness, of Mr. William Dudley Bard, at the age of 58 years. Mr. Bard had resided at Uranquinty for the past 12 years and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends. Before going to Uranquinty he was at Illabo. He is survived by a widow and four sons, Messrs. William Bard of Chatswood, Brian of Zetland, John of Middle Bay, and Leo Bard of Uranquinty ; and six daughters, Mrs. L. Kirly of Zetland, Mrs. Thomas Kelly of Zetland, Mrs. W. Klinshness of Queensland, and Misses Mary, Beryl and Betty Bard of Uranquinty. The funeral will leave the Catholic Church, Uranquinty, at 11 o'clock this morning for the Uranquinty cemetery.
