Aged 57 Years
Son of Charles The Gundagai Times and Tumut, Adelong and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser (NSW : 1868 - 1931) Fri 10 Apr 1885 It is our painful duty to chronicle the fatal termination of the accident that befel Mr.Charles Guy, some few weeks since (says the Tumut Times). It was at first thought that, as Mr. Guy had no very severe external injuries, time and care would effect his recovery, but subsequently dangerous symptoms supervened,and his medical attendants gave up all hope. The deceased gentleman breathed his last on Good Friday, the 3rd inst, aged 67 years. The funeral, which was very numerously attended, took place on the following afternoon. The late Mr. Guy was an old resident of tho Tumut, and he will be greatly missed, especially by the sporting community of the place. The deceased was a great horse breeder, and his stud could hardly be excelled in any suburban, district. He was a good judge of horse stock, and spared no expense to introduce the best blood procurable. |
