The daughter of Ann and Andrew Kean of Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. Elizabeth Farrell arrived in Port Jackson aboard the ship "Anglia" 25 Feb 1850, with three of her sons, Christopher aged 18, John aged 14 and Patrick aged 12. Her eldest son Michael arrived in 1853.
