Death of Mr G Godfrey
It has again become our sad lot to chronicle another death in the town in the person of Mr.George Godfrey, a resident who was highly respected by everyone who knew him. He was of a most genial disposition, and a popular favorite with his fellows. The only public institution he took much interest in was the Tumut Rifle Club, of which he was a very active member, and acquitted himself well with the rifle, gaining several prizes , locally, and at the annual competitions in Sydney he always won awards. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Godfrey, of Gocup, his age being 46 years.
