OBITUARY
MR. JOHN MARZOL
Passed away in the Tumut and District Hospital on Friday last Mr. John Marzol of Capper-st., Tumut, aged 79 years. Deceased, who had been an inmate of the hospital for the past nine weeks, had enjoyed good health until he suffered a fall which laid him up. His strength gradually failed and he passed away on Friday as stated. The late Mr. Marzol was a native of Yass, being a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Marzol of that town. He came to Tumut about 42 years ago, and was occupied in farming pursuits at Bombowlee for over 20 years, when he retired and came in to Tumut to live. During the past few years he has been cared for by his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Marzol. His wife (nee Miss Sarah Carey, of Yass pre deceased him by 12 months. Members of the family who survive are Agnes (Mrs. F. Hoad) Tumut ; Ernest, Harry (A.I.F.) and Jack (Tumut). One son, Luke, (killed in last war) and one daughter, Adeline, predeceased him. There is also one brother, Joseph of Yass, and one sister, Caroline (Mrs. Dyball, Binalong) surviving. The funeral took place on Saturday last, leaving from the church for the Catholic portion of the Tumut new cemetery. Very Rev. Dean Sharkey officiated at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Harry and Jack Marzol, Fred Hoad, Bede and Colin Hoad and W. Marzol.
