MISS MARTHA WATSON
As briefly referred to in our last issue, the death occurred at Tumut District Hospital on Wednesday last of Miss Martha Watson, of Brungle Roadside. Deceased had been in failing health for the past few years and had been a patient in the District Hospital for a month prior to her demise. The late Miss Watson was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Watson, of Gocup, and was born in the year 1871. She had resided with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McDonald, of Brungle Roadside, for a number of years. There is another sister, Mrs. Wilkins, residing in Queensland. Brothers and sisters who predeceased her were Alex, William and John Watson, Marion (Mrs. E. Stockwell), Johanna (Mrs. R. Woodbridge), Janet (Mrs. P. O'Shea) and Margaret (Mrs. T. Ballard). The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon last, leaving from the Catholic Church at 3 o'clock for the Tumut new cemetery. Rev. Father O'Brien officiated at the graveside and W. Beavan & Son had charge of the mortuary arrangements. |
