DEATH.
BUTTERWORTH.— At Ayr on Wed
nesday, 19th October, 1927, Samuel
Butterworth(late of Nebo).

Townsville Daily Bulletin 29 Oct 1927
Mr. Samuel Butterworth passed
away at his home in Ayr In the early
hours or Wednesday morning, at the
age of 55 years. He had been ailing
for some time and the end was not
unexpected. Born in Mackay. Mr.
Butterworth and family came to Ayr
about 2 years ago. A widow and
grown up family are left to morn be
ing two sons Samuel and Charlie and a
daughter Miss Annie. He was a
brother of Mr Charlie Butterworth
who has been farming here for many
years, while two other brothers, Mr.
Alfred Butterworlh and Mr William
Butterworth reside at Nebo in the
Mackay District.

At the age of 55 years Mr. Samuel
Butterworth breathed his last on
Thursday, October 20. Born in Mackay
in 1872, the deceased resided in his home
town for many years and was well res
pected there, With his wife and
family he took up residence in Ayr
two years ago, and in that time be-
came very popular with all with whom
he came in contact. A widow and a
family of three grown up children (two
sons and one daughter) besides 29
grandchildren are left to mourn, Two
brothers are in the Mackay district,
Messrs. William and Alfred Butter-
worth, of Nebo ; one is at Maidavale
(Mr, Charles Butterworth), and a sis-
ter, Mrs. H, Kilcullen, resides in
George-street, Ayr.
