Note 4: Burial info NSW bdm COWMEADOW GEORGE 16675/1914 CAROLINE MINMI Newcastle Morning Herald and Miner;s Advocate 15 Oct 1914 MINMI. Mr. George Cowmeadow, an old and esteemed resident of Minmi, died on Mon- day after a very brief illness, the cause of death being pleurisy and pneuomania supervening. He had been a resident of Minmi for thirty-two years. The funeral took place yesterday, and was largely at- tended, the Ancient Order of Druids, of which deceased was a member, being well represented. Prior to the cortege leav- ing the house, service was held, conduct- ed by Mr. Percy Goodman, Baptist, of West Wallsend, who also officiated at the grave. The service of the Ancient Order of Druids was read by the District Pre- sident, Bro. G. Hardy, of Lambton. The deceased at the time of his death was 60 years of age, and is survived by his wife and a grown-up family, who have been the recipients of a large number of let- ters and cards of sympathy.
