MINMI.
Mr. George Cowmeadow, an old and
esteemed resident of Minmi, died on Mon-
day after a very brief illness, the cause
of death being pleurisy and pneuomania
supervening. He had been a resident of
Minmi for thirty-two years. The funeral
took place yesterday, and was largely at-
tended, the Ancient Order of Druids, of
which deceased was a member, being well
represented. Prior to the cortege leav-
ing the house, service was held, conduct-
ed by Mr. Percy Goodman, Baptist, of
West Wallsend, who also officiated at the
grave. The service of the Ancient Order
of Druids was read by the District Pre-
sident, Bro. G. Hardy, of Lambton. The
deceased at the time of his death was 60
years of age, and is survived by his wife
and a grown-up family, who have been
the recipients of a large number of let-
ters and cards of sympathy.

MRS. N. COWMEADOW.
Mrs. Naomi Cowmeadow, one of Minmi's
oldest residents, died recently. She ar-
rived in Australia with her husband 57
years ago, and had lived at Minmi ever
since. Her husband died 26 years ago.
She was born at Blaenavon, Wales, in
1860.
She is survived by three daughters and
three sons, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-
grandchildren, also a sister. The funeral
took place to the Methodist Cemetery,
Minmi.

Mr. John Adrian Sneddon died at the age of 61. Born at Maitland, he went to Minmi and worked for. J. and A. Brown for nearly 30 years. He then came to Hex ham and worked for Hetton Bellbird company for 12 years. He retired three years ago. He was Secretary for the Rechabites and Masonic lodges at Minmi. He went to live at Tarro four years ago The funeral was to Beresfield Crematorium. Rev. Gibbons officiated. Mr. Sneddon is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mavis (Mrs. W. Stephenson) and Doris (Mrs. W. J. Enright), one son (William), and four granddaughters.
