Note 4: (Info from Ancestry - Helen's Roots) OBITUARY taken from the British Medical Journal Dr Alfred George Wilkinson, a medical practitioner of Northampton, died on September 15th aged 88. He took the diplomas of M.R.C.s. Eng and L.S.A. While still a student he went to the Crimea as a volunteer, and worked with Florence Nightengale. He assisted in attending the wounded after the charge of the Light Brigade.
