DEATHS. HUNTER. — On the 16th October, at his residence, Burwood, ROBERT HUNTER, eldest son of Joseph and Jane Hunter, and beloved husband of Janet Hunter, leaving an affectionate wife and seven children, and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. Aged, forty-three years and two weeks. Late of Clackmaningshire, Scotland.

MEREWETHER
DEATH OF MR. R. HUNTER
The death of Mr. Robert Hunter, a resident of the Junction for a number of years took place in the Newcastle Hospital on Sunday. The deceased had been residing at Teralba for some time, but, becoming seriously ill last week, he was removed to his mother's home at Merewether. The complaint from which he was suffering being diagnosed as appendicitis, it was deemed necessary to remove him to the hospital to be operated upon. The operation was carried out, but the patient gradually sank and died. Mr. Hunter was a man of strong physique, and at the time of his death was in his 37th year. He leaves a widowed mother and four sisters to mourn their loss. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the remains being interred in the Presbyterian section of the Sandgate Cemetery. The Rev. T. S. Crawford, assisted by Mr. Chalmers performed the burial service.
