Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners’ Advocate 3 May 1940 OBITUARY The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Jane Young, of Elder-street, Lambton, took place on Monday. Rev. W. H. Butler conducted the service. Mrs. Young was 73 on the day of her death. She was born in Lambton, where she lived all her life. She was a member of Wallsend Hospital Com- mittee for 22 years, and was made an honorary member some years ago. Mrs. Young was a nurse for many years. Her husband died 18 years ago. Pall-bearers were her four grandsons, Messrs. Frank McCann, James Horn, Les and Bert Earnshaw. She is sur- vived by three daughters, Mrs. W. Mor- gan (Cessnock), Mrs. J Horn (West Wallsend), and Mrs. J. Earnshaw (May- field). There are 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
