Note 3: Telegraph (Brisbane) 24 March TOWNSVILLE. At the Supreme Court yesterday, , pro bate of the will of the late Mr. Patrick James Ryan, of Townsville, carrier, was granted to Harriet Ryan. Note 4: Cairns Post 7 April 1911 DROWNING FATALITY. Writing in connection with the finding on 26th ult of the body of a man in the south branch of the Johnstone River, the "Post" Innis- fail correspondent states it was identified as Thomas Brabon. There were no marks on the body and a post mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be asphyxia. It was ascertained that Brabon had been working for a man named Davidson at Liverpool Creek, but had come into town on 18th ult. and stayed at the Crown Hotel un- til 24th ult. On that morning he said he was going out by tram to work at the 14-Mile, but subsequen- tly returned and stated he had missed the tram. He remained at the hotel until noon when he bor- rowed 5/- from the licensee and went away. His body was after- wards found in the river and from marks on the mud, there were signs he had fallen in. Deceased was ab- out 45 years of age, a married man, his wife residing at Mulgrave.

North Queensland Register (Townsville) 21 Aug 1895 A trial surface crushing has been put through from Tom Brabon's p.p.a. 11 tons yielding 6oz. 2dwt. He has about 100 tons more to come. The Week (Brisbane 30 Nov 1894 Georgetown, November 26. Brabon, from Western Creek, has crushed 20 tons for a yield of 83 ozs. gold.
