Biles.—On the 25th of September, at his resi- dence, Maude, Thomas Biles, postmaster, and dearly beloved husband of Eleanor Biles, aged 79 years. Interred in Leth- bridge Cemetery. Geelong Advertiser 25 July 1908 MAUDE -DEATH- OF AN OLD RESIDENT iIt is with deep regret that the death has to be chronicled of one of the oldest and most widely, known and esteemed residents of the district, in the person of Mrs. Biles, who died on the evening of the 17th inst. The deceased, who was in her 78th year, had resided in the one resilience for nearly half a century, and. her advice and services were freely avail ed of by many of the sick of the district, and she had until recently held the posi tion of postmistress of Maude for a num ber of years. It can safely be said that she made all friends and ,no enemies, The deceased, who was interred in the Church of England portion of the Leth ridge Cemetery, was borne to the grave on; the shoulders of four of her grand sons, and the pall-bearers' comprised some of the oldest residents of the dis trict.
