Native of Gundagai, New South Wales. ~ Roy Harold Boyton Service No: 2783 Place Of Birth: Gundagai, NSW, Australia Place Of Enlistment: Liverpool, NSW, Australia Next Of Kin: Boyton, Alfred (father) ~ A CABLE was received in Wagga on Friday announcing the death of Corporal Roy Boyton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Boyton, late of Nangus. The Gundagai Times and Tumut, Adelong and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser (NSW : 1868 - 1931) Tuesday 23 October 1917 p 2 Article Corpl. Roy Boyton Killed. Killed in action on September 20, Roy H. Boyton, of Nangus, who was 21 years of age, and had seen two years' service. He was a son of Mr. Alf Boyton, formerly of Nargus, but now living at Wagga. The deceased's brother, Pte. Leo Boyton (formerly of Kyle and Co.'s office, Gundagai) is still in the fighting line.
