Daughter of Edward Rouse.
Married Alfred Boyton. Mother of Amy M. Boyton, Alfred N. Boyton, Ruby E. Boyton, Edward C. Boyton, Leslie A. Boyton, Elsie Beryl Boyton, Leo M. Boyton, Doris F. Boyton, Roy H. Boyton, Mervyn B. Boyton, Wallace R. Boyton, Norman Boyton, and Bella H. Boyton. (One of the daughters was Mrs. T Hurst.) MRS. A. BOYTON The death occurred in Welwyn Private Hospital early yesterday morning of Emily Caroline Boyton, of 157 Forsyth-street, Wagga, at the age of 77 years. Born at Tumut, Mrs. Boyton was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rouse. She was educated at Wagga and at the age of 20 years married Mr. Alfred Boyton, of Wagga, where they had resided ever since. Mrs. Boyton will long be remembered for her charitable dis position, having been a great worker for patriotic functions during the Great War as well as for the Red Cross, Women's Auxiliary, etc. She was also a great worker for the hospital. Mrs. Boyton is survived by her husband, Mr. A. Boyton, of 157 Forsyth-street, Wagga; six sons, Messrs. Edward and Wallace of Wagga, Norman of Lakemba, and Leo, Les and Mervyn of Gundagai; one daughter, Mrs. T Hurst of Wagga; one sister, Mrs. W. Thatcher of Fairfield also 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One son, Roy was killed in action in 1917. She is also predeceased by four daughters, Elsie Beryl, Amy and Ruby. The funeral will take place this morning, the cortege moving from the Wagga Methodist Church at 11 o'clock after a service to begin at 10:45am Interment will take place in the Wagga cemetery.
