OBITUARY
MR. R. KISS
The death occurred in Wagga on Saturday of a well-known resident ot Coolamon, Mr. Rudolph Kiss, after a short illness at the age of 43 years. Mr. Kiss was married in Temora to Miss Johanna Mickelson, and is sur-vived by his widow and two sons, James and George Kiss; three daughters. Misses Monica, Olive and Dorothy Kiss; two sisters, Mrs. Cyril Skates, of Coolamon, and Mrs. C. Thomas, of Sydney ; one brother, Mr. K. Kiss, of Sydney; and four step-brothers, Messrs. David Kiss and James Kiss, of Kogarah, and Randolph and John Kiss, of Sydney. The funeral took place yesterday after-noon, the cortege moving from Mr. J. C. McDonald's premises in Wagga for Coolamon, where on arrival at the Shire Hall it was joined by many cars, forming a large and representative funeral. The interment took place in the Catholic portion of the Coolamon cemetery at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Father C. M. Branigan, of Ganmain, officiating at the graveside. The coffin, which was laden with beautiful floral tributes, was carried to the grave by Messrs. J. W. Carter, J. Sullivan, R. Crawford, C. Nimmo, A. Rowston, and D. Sell. The pall-bearers were Messrs. G. Stephenson. H. Ling, C. Barker, M. Nimmo, Maurice Nimmo and V. Robertson (nephew). The chief mourners at the graveside were the bereaved widow and family, Mrs. Cyril Skates (sister), Mr. Cyril Skates (brother-in-law), Mr. John Mickelson, of Ariah Park (brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. M. McDermott, of Junee (uncle and aunt). Mary and James Skates (niece and nephew), Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rob- ertson (nephew and niece), Mr. Keith Armstrong (nephew), Mr. and Mrs. Michael M'Dermott, junr., of Junee (nephew and niece), and many friends from Coolamon, Junee, Ariah Park, Marrar, and Murrulebale. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were wreaths from the teachers and pupils Of the Redlands School, the Redlands Parents and Citizens' Association, and Crennan and Sullivan. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. J. C. McDonald, of Wagga. |
