The death occurred at Tumut Hospital of Mrs. E. Butler, of Gilmore, wife of Mr. J. T. Butler. About nine weeks before. Mrs. Butler entered the hospital for treatment for gangrene. The leg was removed at the knee and the patient was doing well, walking on crutches and expected to go home shortly. Deceased was 73 years old, and leaves her husband and grown-up family — Mrs. Peppernell (Gilmore), Mrs. Alston (Bombowlee), Harry and William (Gadara), Myra (Gilmore), Joseph, Thomas, Edward and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Jackson, of Muttama. A short service was held at All Saints' Church of England prior to interment. Rev. S. Broadfoot officiated at the graveside.
