- Notes: The funeral of the late Francis T. McKey, who was drowned in the Tumut river on Sunday evening while bathing, took place on Tuesday afternoon. Through some misunderstanding (the time for leaving the residence of the deceased's parents, Mr. and Mrs J. J, McKey, of Blowering, was advertised in our columns), many of those desirous of tendering respect to the memory of deceased attended at a much earlier hour. The remains were followed to their last resting place, in the Roman Catholic portion of the new cemetery, by a very large cortege of mourners and friends of the family, the Rev Father O'Connell performing the burial rites at the grave, Mr. Jas Elphick directed the funeral arrangements.
