| - Notes: Joseph 1733, the first of the Chownes born at Exminster married Julian
COLLINGS in 1756. A son John was born and died the following year. In 1766 Julian died, then in October 1778 Joseph wed Mary ELSON from Alphington and had three sons and two daughters. He was also a churchwarden at Exminster dying in 1811 at the venerable age of 78. |
