The Late Mr. C. L. D. Birkin The death occurred on July 27, of the late Mr. Charles Laurance Ducane Birkin. The de ceased, who was born in Victoria, had resided in Western Australia for the past 36 yeas, and was very well known among the mines of the Norseman district. During the latter years on account of ill health, the deceased had resided in Fremantle where, by his kindly disposition, he had won the respect and esteem of a very large circle of friends. The funeral took place on Tuesday morning, the cortege leaving his late re sidence, 148 Attfield-street, South Fremantle, and proceeding, to-the Church of England portion of the Fremantle Cemetery. The Kev. F, T. Bowen officiated at the graveside.. West Australian (Perth) 28 Jul 1931 DEATHS. BIRKIN. — On July 27, 1931, at his late resi- dence, No. 148 Attfield-street, South Fremantle, Charles Laurance Ducane Birkin, dearly beloved husband of Mrs. Bessie Birkin, and fond father of Alfred, and third youngest son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth Birkin, of Kyneton, Vic- toria; aged 53 years. A sufferer at rest.
