Death of Dr. Glennie, J.P.
Dr. HENRY GLENNIE, J.P., one of the
oldest residents of, Patrick's Plains, died
yesterday morning, at Singleton, at 1
a.m., aged eighty-one. The doctor's
health, despite his advanced age, was
particularly good up to the last, but on
Sunday night he met with an awkward
spill from his buggy whilst attending a
patient; resulting in a severe concussion.
The doctor finally succumbed as stated.
As a mark of respect to his memory
flags were hung half-mast high through-
out the town. The deceased leaves a
numerous family, as well as a widow, to
survive him and to mourn his loss.
