MRS. SARAH JEFFERY
Another native-born of the district in the person of Mrs. Sarah Jeffery, wife of Mr. Walter Herbert Jeffrey, of Beale st., Tumut, died at the District Hospital on Wednesday afternoon last, after six months illness from diabetes and neuritis. Three days before her demise she lapsed into unconsciousness and never rallied. Deceased, who was 59 years of age, was the third daughter of the late Thomas Eggleton, of West Blowering; and was twice married, her first husband being the late George Feint, who died 25 years ago, there being four children to the union, viz.: Mary (Mrs. Alf. Wickman); Stella (Mrs. Jack Byrnes), Amy (Mrs.Linn), all of Sydney, and Arthur, resident with his mother at Tumut.
By the marriage of her second husband, Mr. Walter Herbert ("Chip") Jeffery, there was only one child who died in infancy. Deceased has two surviving sisters (Mrs. Johnson, Fitzroy-st.,Tumut) and Mrs. D. Hudson, Wagga) and one brother (Mr. Thos. Eggleton, West Blowering) At the funeral on Thursday, conducted by Messrs. W. H. Fuller and Son, Rev. S. Broadfoot performed the last rites.
