Mrs. F. M. O'Rourke
Mrs. Faith Mary O'Rourke, who died recently at the District Hospital, Cooma, in her 94th year, was a well-known pioneer Catholic of the West Monaro district.
She was married to Christopher Joseph O'Rourke nearly 70 years ago, and had a large family. She had been in failing health for some years, having had the misfortune to break her leg in a fall.
The deceased lady was the fourth daughter of the late James and Margaret Thompson, pioneer residents of the Snowy River country, and was born at "Cobbin," the home of her parents in those early days. Surviving children are Margaret (Mrs. Charles Byrne), Mrs. Charles Williams, Violet (Mrs. James Power), James and Christopher. A daughter and two sons died some years ago. The Rev. Father A. Jones recited the prayers at St. Thomas's Church, Moonbah.
