Funeral
MRS. M. J. OSBORN
The funeral of Mrs. Mary Jane Osborn, who died suddenly at Cooba, between Junee and Nangus, on July 27,at the age of 70 years, took place at Leeton on July 28. The cortege, consisting of relatives and friends from Leeton, Junee, Batlow and Wagga, moved from St. Peter's Church of England after a service conducted by the Rev C. A . Sims who also officiated at the graveside. Interment took place in the family ground alongside her husband, the late Mr. Richard G. Osborn, who predeceased her four years ago. Mrs. Osborn was born at Gilmore and resided at Adelong and Leeton for many years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Walker, of Tumut, who carried on a business there for many years. Mrs. Fred Basham, of Batlow, and Mrs. R. Lindbeck, of Cooba Creek, are sisters, and Mr.Charles Walker, of Batlow, a brother. Four other brothers reside in Sydney — Messrs. Alfred, George, Roley and Walker. David Walker (brother), of Gundagai, and Miss Alice Walker (sister), of Gundagai, and Mrs. E. M'Kenzie (sister), of Brungle, predeceased her. Much sympathy is felt for the four daughters, who are left to mourn the loss of a loving and de voted mother, whose death, came as a great shock to them. The daughters are Hilda (Mrs. Hogan, of Leeton), Clarice (Mrs. Towner, of Wagga), Doris (Mrs. Sorenson, of Leeton), and Edie (Mrs. Williams, of Leeton). The funeral arrangements -were carried out by Messrs. Ashton, of Leeton.
