Bullas—Du Rieu

On Saturday. August 18, at the Methodist Church, Kapunda, Phyllis Dorothy Du Rieu, eldest daughter of Mrs. A. H. Du Rieu, of Kapunda, was married to Mervyn Albert Bullas eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bullas, of Prospect. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. Chennel. of Kapunda. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Harold Du Rieu. She wore a white wind swept satin frock trimmed -with silver lame, moulded to the figure, with cowl neck and sleeves. Her veil was of tulle with wide French lace. She carried a sheaf of white carnations and sweet peas. She was attended by her sister. Miss Beckie Du Rei, and Miss Jean Bullas, sister of the bride groom. They were frocked alike in pink wind swept satin. They carried sheaves of pink eweet peas and roses. Mr. Norman Bullas was best man and Mr. Herbert Hosch grooms man. The bride's mother wore a black coat with a brown fur collar. She carried a posy. The bridegroom's mother wore a beige coat with a fur collar, and carried a posy of carnations and sweet peas. About 40 guests attended a reception at the home of the bride's mother. As the bride was leaving the church Margaret Haincs hung a horse shoe on her arm.
