Note 5: Burial info Newcastle Sun 21 Jan 1928 MASONIC FUNERAL Late Mr. William Spowart A Masonlc funeral was accorded Mr. William Ernest Spowart. Worshipful Brother E. Edgar, Mas ter of Lodge Hamilton, No. 451, Unit- ed Grand Lodge of New South Wales, opened a lodge of sorrow in the Hamilton Masonic Hall. He was as sisted in the ceremony by Worship ful Brother Murray, chaplain of the lodge. The pall-bearers were Brothers R. Scott, senior, -R. Richmond, M. Hector. and R. Scott, junior. The Rev. Vann, of Newcastle Ca thedral, conducted a short service at Mr. Spowart's late home, Maryvllle. Mr. Spowart was a member of the staff of Messrs. Tooth's, Ltd. He was 24 years of age, and took a keen in terest in all sport. The chief mourners were his father and mother. Mr. and .Mrs. A. Spowart, ot Maryvllle. The interment was in the Church of England section of the Sandgate cemetery. The Rev. Vann officated at the graveside, and the Masonic service was recited by Wor shipful Brother Murray.
