The cortege left deceased's late residence, Carleton, Liverpool-road, Summer Hill, at 2 o'clock, arriving at Gordon at half-past 4. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. F. W. Reeve, of St. Luke's, Mosman, a brother-in-law of deceased, assisted by the Rev. R. R. King, of Gordon.

A gleaming gown of white an silver lace mounted on lame and made with a tight bodice and uneven hem was worn by Miss Helen Sawyer at her wedding at St. James' Church, King-street, on Thursday night. The beautiful old lace train poised on white tulle was held with flat bows on each shoulder, and a cut tulle veil fell from a coronet of silver and orange blossoms. A shower bou quet of white hyacinths, orchids, and lilies of the valley, with a faint touch of pink Cecil Brunner roses, added to to charming effect. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Sawyer, of 'Eulomo,' Bethungra, and the bridegroom, Mr. Maxwell Critchley Hinder, is a son of the late Dr. Critchley Hinder, and of Mrs. R. Holloway, of Gordon. Miss Charley Morgan Jones at- tended as bridesmaid in a pretty frock of peach pink georgette made with a beaded jumper effect. The reception was held at the Hotel Australia. The bridegroom's mother wore a smart gown of black beaded crepe madrilene, with a black velvet hat, to which a touch of color was given by a bouquet of pink den et carnations.
