COHUNA.
(FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.)
On the 27th ult. Mr Alexander Mas-
terton passed away at his son's (James
Masterton) residence at the ripe age of
74 years. He has been many years a
resident of Kyneton, but finding his
health rapidly failing, he came to reside
at Cohuna. He was formerly a large con-
tractor in the Kyneton district and an
active member of the Kyneton cavalry.
His two daughters residing in this dis-
trict are Mrs W. C. Hall, of Cohuna, and
Mrs George Hall, of Koroop. Two other
daughters are married and reside in Mel-
bourne. His remains were interred in
the Kyneton cemetery on Tuesday, many
old residents by whom he was so highly
respected following the remains to the
grave.

pital, Elsternwick, Elizabeth, dearly beloved
wife of William James, loving mother of Leigh
(deceased), and Wave (A.T. Co.), and loving
sister of Jennet Masterton (deceased), James
Masterton (Caulfield), Isabella (deceased), Mrs.
George Hall, Kerang (deceased), Mrs. W. C.
Hall (Cohuna), and Mrs. J. L. Strachan (East
St. Kilda). —Peace, perfect peace.
