Note 1: Burial info Cootamundra Herald (NSW : 1877 - 1954) Saturday 9 March 1904 DEATH OF MRS. WHITE. Mitta Mitta, Eurongilly, Clarendon, Illabo, Bethungra, and the district around about are all in mourning for the death of their sovereign queen, Mrs. Stephen White. She was not only the wife of our grandest old man in the district, but she was looked upon as the mother of all the country round about her neighbourhood. The cause of death was paralysis. She had been taking afternoon tea with friends when she was afflicted with a sudden attack of paralysis, from which she never rallied. She was in age about the vigour of womanhood, seeing that she had been very robust and vigorous, and had attained the age of about little less than three score and ten. She was a native of the district in which she had lived all her life, hence she was beloved by all, and was all in all to every family within ten miles of her home. Churches and social functions never lacked support from Mrs. White, and helped by her good mate, Mr. Stephen White, she was a ministering angel to many a family in the district. For her funeral a large number of people congregated from all parts of the country; near and far. It was the largest that was ever seen in the country. People came from all parts to do honour to the family and the deceased. Her remains were enclosed in the cemetery at the Mitta Mitta Church, and her grave was wet with the tears of many people whom she had succoured and helped in her daily rounds of good deeds. Many will mourn her loss as the Queen of the district, an affectionate wife, a good mother, a kindly neighbour, and one of the best of friends. Cootamundra Herald (NSW : 1877 - 1954) Saturday 12 March 1904 MRS. STEPHEN WHITE, Sen. Very scanty particulars had reached us as to this esteemed lady, whose death we reported last issue. We understand that she was born on the Bland Creek, on what was one of the early pastoral properties known as Grogan, now part of the Millong station; she was a daughter of a vigorous pioneer settler (Mr. W Levett), a sister of the late Mr. W. Levett, of Mitta, of the late Mr. Joseph Levett, and the only surviving brother is Mr. Clare Levett, who has resided for a number of years in the Tumut district. Her husband, Mr. Stephen White, sen., of Merribindingal station, her sons Stephen, Joseph, John, and Aubrey, and her daughters Mrs. Hastings B. Beveridge ( Junee), Mrs. George Plunkett, Mrs. John Large (of Cootamundra) Mrs. C. Attwood (Cootamundra) Mrs. Alex. McDonnell (Goulburn) and Miss Brenda White survive her, while her son Reginald died some 18 months ago. Her daughter, Mrs. William Cowley, also predeceased her. A number of grand children, and even great grand children, also survive her. Her loss to her husband may be estimated when we say that the happy and very affectionate couple had spent a half-century together in married life, and that she was always his great helpmate in business and in household affairs. The hospitable homestead of Merribindinyah will often miss her from her accustomed place. There she had entertained the highest and the humblest a guest, and the homestead bears a well-known name throughout the country. Heavy affliction has befallen the White family during the past 10 or 15 years; but they have now sustained the greatest blow of all in the loss of their beloved maternal head. We feel sure that the sympathy of the whole community of the surrounding country will be extended to Mr. White and his family. Mention is made by the 'Southern Cross', Junee, of a kindly honour that was done Mr. and Mrs. White at one time by Lord Carrington. We well remember the incident. It was in 1889, when Lord Carrington was given a public reception here, and when Mr. White was lying at the Albion Hotel with a broken leg, and Mrs. White was his nurse. On the occasion of the Governor's leave it was mentioned to him that Mr. White regretted that he could not be present, and Lord Carrington visited Mr. White, consoled with him and his wife in the kindliest way, cheering him up by telling him of the accidents that he had met with in his time and his narrow escapes.

Note 2: Burial info Daily Advertiser (Wagga Wagga) 6 Feb 1911 Obituary. MR. STEPHEN WHITE, Mr. Stephen White, grazier, of Merri- bidinyah Station, near Junee, died on Friday afternoon, from senile decay, at the age of 88 years. With this death is severed the last link between the present day and the original set- tlers on the Murrumtyidgee. Mr. White, about 60 years ago. married a Miss Lovatt and about a dozen years ago was married a second time to Miss McDonald, who still survives him. He also leaves a number of sons and daughters, included amongst whom are Mrs. H. B. Beveridge, of Junee, and Mrs. J. D. McKinnon, of Old Junee. Deceased was a keen sportsman and at one time kept a number of race horses. Merribidinyah Station was taken up by the deceased's father, also named Stephen, in 1842 or 1843 and the place has been occupied by the family up to the present time, though most of the land has of late been converted into freehold. The interment of Mr. White took place yesterday at Mitta.

Note 3: Burial info Cootamundra Herald 26th April 1927 Mr. Hastings Beveridge His many friends in this and surrounding district got a great shock when news was received that Mr. Hastings Beveridge, the well-known Junee business man had died in Sydney. He had gone there for the races but the very wet weather caused him to catch a severe cold and he had to enter a private hospital, but complications set in and he only survlved a couple of days. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Beverage of Dollar Vale, and by appearances had a large lease on life. The deceased was a brother of Mr. Dal. Beveridge and cousin of Mr. J. W. Beveridge, of Blllabong, and his wife was Miss Florence White, of Merrlblndlnyab. His remains were brought back to Junee for internment.

The remaining members of the old 'Merriblndinyah' family are Mr. Jack White of 'Gross Vale', Hawkesbury district, Mrs. John Large, Mrs. Charles Atwood, Mrs. Charles McDonald and Mrs. Malachrane. The subject of our notice finished her education at the private school of Miss. Lange and Mrs. Lowe daughters of the late Dr. Large). She was a prominent personality In the earlier social life of Cootamundra, Gundagal, and Junee and In those days when the 'Bell of the Ball' would be mentioned Flo White was frequently the popular choice. Her geniality at old Merribindinyah and later as the hostess at 'Dollar Vale'' will long, be remembered. She was a fine singer, and helped willingly at many a concert in the district. She was a prominent worker for the Anglican Church and the Red Cross Society, and the charities of Junee and district until her illness compelled her, regretfully, to forego such activities. She leaves two daughters; Mrs. Fred. Beverldge, of Blllabong; and Mrs. Harrls of Manly. She also leaves two sons. The Interment was set down for 2 o'clock this afternoon, in the Anglican cemetery at Junee.
