Note 1: Burial info Cootamundra Herald, N.S.W.Wednesday, 1st January, 1902 Death of Mr. R. V. White. — It is known to our readers that Mr. Reginald Victor White, the youngest son of Mr. Stephen White, sen., of Merribindinyah, had been ailing for a couple of years from a spinal affection. From this cause he gradually sank and died on Saturday. He was only 18 years old, and was an athletic lad until he fell a victim to his fatal malady. His complaint was of such a nature that an operation to be successful was almost an impossibility. The funeral was held on Sunday, the remains being interred in tho church yard at Mitta Mitta, the first grave within the grounds; and there was a large gathering of the family relations, friends, and neighbours, and people from distant parts, notwithstanding the fact that bush fires were raging furiously about the country a little to the south of Mitta Mitta. Canon Studs (Church of England) conducted a solemn service and gave an impressive address in the church. We offer our kindly sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. White and their family and friends and feel sure that the public join us in doing so.
